I don't know when exactly the next comic will be up, but one of these days, for certain.
I think I'll shoot for Wednesday. But no promises. And it might even be earlier then that. But don't count on it.
Meanwhile, people are visiting my site, but are not voting on the little poll thing. That leaves me with one idea. They don't read the Blog. Should I put the Poll up top more? Hmm. Or actually, this could mean something else. They visit the site, check out the first comic, and say "this is stupid" and never come back. And I never know. *sighs*. See, the only input I get is from people who say "hey, I really think you're comic's funny" or "I really like your imagination." I don't get any negative comments because they never stick around. So what is this telling me? That only a few people actually like the comic (all of which, I seem to already know) and may only say that they like it because they don't want to hurt my feelings, and that everyone else hates it and thinks it's lame. Or the same people are just visiting it over and over. If nobody votes, I'll never know *sighs*
Alright, I concede. Today's joke is a bit lame. Gimme a break.
Once again, if you are reading this, please please PLEASE Vote! I'm asking very nicely. I'm even portraying my best bambi eyes.
Anf if you do think it's lame, go ahead and TELL ME! I am a big girl and I take abuse very very well. My feelings do not get easily hurt. Honest! I would rather get negative input then no input, and if I get some input, I can figure out a way to fix the problem if there is one.
Or do you want me to put up a poll to rate this webcomic? I can do that! But if nobody answers the poll but people who like it (or who claim they like it just to be nice) then that doesn't help me. Does it?
I don't know, it appears to be a lose-lose situation. I'm losing motivation people! Come on!
Back to the real world, they had a military day on campus today at school. I took advantage of it and harrassed several service members. I can do that, see, I'm in the Army. I really started to get annoyed by a couple of Marines. But it's all good. All the services offer their benefits. And I progressively planned out the rest of my life today. In about a year, I think i'll become a drill sergeant *evil smile*
In other news, I found a quiz for once that isn't from this person's blog, I've noticed she comes across a lot of good ones so I usually copy her. However, I found this one else where and I was all impressed with myself when low and behold, SHE HAS IT TOO!
Curses. However, the Blog fits me to a tee :) And it fits most of my characters to a tee too. But since nobody READS my blog, I don't have to worry about spoilers *smiles*
"Politics is supposed to be the second oldest

I really like this quote. Probably because I really hate politics.

Comic still up for Friday. And see that poll at the bottom of this webpage? If you haven't voted on it, vote now. It won't sucker you in to some mailing list or zap your computer with a hundred viruses. In fact, it's perfectly harmless. It just tells me that people are actually coming here and in what quantities and how often. So Please Vote!
In other news, I finally got off my butt and updated the character website. So that part is updated *yays*. Next up is an entirely new format for the entire website, but that will likely wait until July. When I have about two minutes to actually think.
Although Forum is up, I noticed that it is painfully slow. Many apologies, I will not rant at you for not wanting to put anything there.
But that doesn't mean you can't vote on the poll!
With my personal life, I went and saw a movie today. I saw it basically for free, or maybe with $300 in Fred Meyer Reciepts. Spirit, Stallion of the Cimmeron. Very well animated, and i love horses. I took my niece to go see it but she might be a little too young for it, she got restless. It drags at points for the really young ones, but I did enjoy it. Some parts are unbelievable, like the Steam Engine part, where Spirit basically lets loose all the horses and kicks the steam engine back down the hill, but anyway, just go see it if you're curious.
Now it's off to the wonderful land of muchos homework. *sarcastic yay*
Probably the greatest Jedi Knight of all. Like Obi Wan, you are wise and keep your feet on the ground at all times. You will not be outsmarted by anyone. You are always faithful to your friends. Be careful though, danger lurks around every corner - you could even be betrayed by those closest to you. |

*snickers* What a great quote!

Took advantage of the three day weekend and went Camping! Yay! I haven't gone camping for leasure in about 5 years. Scary thought, huh! I also went fishing and caught about a 7 inch brook trout. I threw him back but I probably should have kept him because he was bleeding. But I don't really like to fish because I don't like to hurt innocent little beasties.
Comic is up again, for Tuesday and another on Friday. I might have one up for next Tuesday as well, and then maybe another that weekend and then probably one more each for the two weeks following that. Mainly because I will be out of town on another camping excursion, but we don't call it camping in the army.
Also, I'm in the process of finding a little poll to put on this website. Please vote, and please vote only once. It will give me an idea of how many people frequent this website, and if they even stick around. Just to give me an idea. It will likely be up for a couple of months, just to give me a clue as to how popular my page is. It's at the bottom of the homepage. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE Vote!!! It only takes about one second!

Comic on hold indefinitely due to fact that I have been promoted to advanced party, which gives me even less time to get on top of things in school (and school is priority over this). Hopefully, I'll be on track again next week, considering I have the weekend off and might even manage to get a couple of comics out.
Forum's back up. Feel free to say something to keep me motivated if you actually like what you see here.
Risawn- 11:14 pm PST
I'm shooting for having the next comic up real soon. Meanwhile, I thought I would clean up my act a bit by taking down that rude phrase on my home page, and I added an email icon just in case people wanted to email me immediately and didn't want to go searching through the entire website looking for a way to email me. I was looking for a real simple Icon, but for some reason, they only had animated ones, so I have an animated icon now. I hope it gives some results.
Forum still down, big surprise.
I'll also be putting up something different when I get around to it along the lines of redoing the format of the website. And I need to add Zaret's information, one of these days, to the character page. The character page is a real dandy, isn't it? In desperate need of an update.
And while I was playing with mr. software that sucks but is all I currently have, I learned a thing or two playing around. Although the comics themselves might not change much (except for that ONE! *ahem*), the graphics on the website will. It should look real spiffy when I'm done. If I ever get done. And I think I might go for a solid background.
Also, on a side note, I decided that I didn't have nearly enough on my plate, for crying out loud, I have problems keeping this webcomic updated! But no, I wanted to do another one. However, it's not up as of this blog, but it should be up within the week (however, minus the comics) and it is located at dogtags.keenspace.com. Should be great fun, an anthropormorphic look at the military.
However, give it about, oh, Five weeks before I really get on it. I probably won't have any comics posted on it until after I get back from my first AT. But I'm just happy that it's finally up! Yays!
Alright, enough from my part. Now I need to get cracken on the next comic so it will be up sometime today. The following comic, I'm shooting for Friday (they will be a bit spaced out, school is really starting to get hectic these last final weeks, and I have to do all my finals early! yuck!)
Yep, I can be one strange cookie at times. Alright, to the comic.

Drill was interesting. I leave in approximately three weeks for Camp Parks California in a military exercise. Great fun, yay. Other then that, it was basically do as I usually do, run around like a chicken with my head cut off.
Next comic should be up real soon, I'm not sure exactly when.
Other then that, I work all week and am just slightly in over my head, as always. Life as always, is just peachy.
Yes, sir? I was wondering, being Preventive Medicine, if I would be permitted to
practice other activities within my MOS besides the water mission such as, for example,

Risawn-- some time pm PST
Yeah! I've hit 1000 hits!
According to Bravenet at least, although it misses a few when it goes down every other day.
Lately in life I've been rather busy. I saw Star Wars Wednesday night (one of those 12:01 showings). It rocked. Yoda rocks.
I've also been busy working. I originally had yesterday off, and I was going to use the time to work on the next comic, but they called me in and I couldn't resist, I've had a cut in hours recently and the wallet is pretty thin, if you get my meaning. That, and I will soon no longer have GI bill to support me this summer.
Anyway, I also have drill this weekend, and I work Saturday as well on top of Drill. It's baring down to the end of the quarter, and I am running out of time. In otherwords, the comic is going to see a little slack. And a lot of detours (or cop-outs if you want to call them that as well :P
So, back to the case in point, I don't have the next comic drawn out. In fact, I don't even know how I want to word it just yet, although I know several things are going to happen on this world, I just don't know exactly how to phrase it properly in other words. What I'm saying is I'm having a brain fart. I hate those.
So I do have something going up tomorrow, but it isn't a comic. It's kind of an experiment done on my part. Has anyone seen a scratchboard drawing? Well, here, I'll give you an example.
I think I'll shoot for Monday with the next comic. I'll try not to do to many of these experimentations to bore the living snot out of everyone.
"Gees, I know I must really be hungry when Vienna Sausages sound good."
-Me, talking to myself as I was digging around for something to eat in my barren kitchen.
Ris-- 12:15 pm PST
This was supposed to be up earlier, but Keenspace was down.
Next comic will be up Thursday. Promise, it is downloaded and ready to go.
Ris-- 4:02 pm PST (who, btw, is going to be late for work)
"I think I'll shoot for another comic on Sunday, but no guarantees so check back on Tuesday."
I meant that as a light stab at a joke, I didn't really mean it. But I should have known better anyway, considering my shift at work this weekend basically left me with no weekend, and I'm sorry, I have higher priorities then this comic.
One of these days, I'll have the character page updated. I think I'll be completely revamping it, because how it's set up now will make it so that there will be an endless line of characters. If you can't tell already, there will be a lot of characters in this comic strip by the time I really get going. 99% of them will be minority characters as well.
So anyway, that's about it. I'll likely be having a new detour up soon, I just need to get some software for coloring graphics on the computer because mine really sucks.
Well, I'm not really into the whole pretty boy thing, but damn, can't get enough of Legolas! *drools*
Anyway, that's about all. Next comic will be up Thursday, because it's downloaded and ready to go. Laters.
Kami- 2:57 pm PST
Alright, comic is done and I have one thing to say! About bloody time! I don't know if I completely like this format yet because it takes to long to color in all the beasties! That, and each panel has it's own, well, you get the idea.
I still like this world however, it's a lot looser then the last one. And I like all the little beasties. I don't know if anyone thinks this is funny or not (Hey, I only get input once in a while! hint hint), so I hope everyone thinks this next world is mildly funny because my definition of humor is a bit off at times and whether or not you do find it amusing, well, I'm sorry.
I'm looking at doing a new look for the website. It will be a while though. I think I'll shoot for another comic on Sunday, but no guarantees so check back on Tuesday. However, I want to avoid doing another world in two months, that takes to long! Or maybe I'm just in over my head as it is? I'll try to get through this one by the end of May. I'm averaging three comics a week, though. Not bad!
Anyway, enjoys!
I really like them quizzes ya know! Although this one has a few gramatical errors. Me, I is just ignorant :)
"You are evil, and you must be destroyed,"
-Weeza off of Steel Magnolias, I love that movie! Just watched it
Sawny- 9:24 pm PST
Comic is still up for tomorrow. If I can get it colored in time at least. If not, Saturday, but I'm shooting for Friday and then Sunday.
Meanwhile, the most unimaginable thing happened today. I got bored. So guess what? I made some banners so people can actually use them to link to me. Trouble is, they aren't exactly works of art but hey, they're better then nothing.
If, out of the kindness of your heart, you want to link to me, feel free to use them. In fact, I'll show you a couple right here in this blog.
Alright, the first one kind of sucked. I don't think there's enough color or something in it.
I did a few more, all of which can be viewed here, which
has been updated, but I think
my favorite one has to be this one.
That quiz thing was a riot! I answered them honestly, for the most part, but a very clever idea for a quiz!
"Boredom is a terrible thing to waste."
--Me! Well, at least I think i'm the only one to have said it. But anyway, that might
be the new Creature slogan!
Risawn- 12:53 am PST (way to late!)
Hmm, I guess I'm shooting for one every other day right now. Don't expect the back ground to be colored in every time, I'm not doing that. I just thought I'd try it this time for dramatic effect. And it focuses in more on all those little eye balls.
I know, lame joke. Haha. This comic could probably have been a two piecer, but it might not have made as much sense. Of course, Splash was talking figuratively, Creature didn't know what in the hell she was talking about. Obviously.
My favorite little monster has to be either the yellow one perched between Creature & Splash or the tannish one in the left hand corner peering around the tree. But anyway, I like them. They were a lot of fun to draw. This is kind of the style for this world, except I won't be darkening in the background anymore. I was just trying something out, it worked and it didn't. Anyway, you get the idea.
Next comic is up for friday. I hope. Now I need to get to bed!

"Warning: Dates in Calendar are closer than they appear"
--??? But how true!
Risawn- 12:31 am PST
Comic is still up for Monday. In fact, it's downloaded now so that it will promptly pop up at roughly midnight, of course, after the hundreds of other keenspace comics go up.
My unofficial comic critic (my brother), has noticed an improvement in the art, a little bit, and a bit on the software as well. I'm thinking about redoing and downloading the first ones again because they look so blah now that I look back at them. Although the previous comic (the one that is up as I type this) looks a little unfinished, as if Splash is missing half of her body. I didn't do that on purpose.
I also messed up on her expression in the first panel of Monday's comic. I ended up having to give her a new eye. I was trying to make her thoughtful and I accidently made her look like an evil witch or something, which she is not. She's just bored, and boredom makes us to strange things.
I think I'll shoot for Wednesday or Thursday for the next comic. So check up on Thursday.
Anyway, enough of that, but anyway, on the subjects of comics and comic strips and so on and so forth. . .
I went and saw spiderman this evening and it ROCKED!!! I got a new surge in comic book heroes! The last time this happened to me was during the X-man movie, which had me on an X-men high. I even went so far as to buy the DVD.
If you're asking if this has anything to do with the comic, hmm, Maybe. Yes, I have plans for them visiting some kind of superhero world. That won't be for a while though, but when I do get to that part it should be great fun!
Anyway, that's about all for now.

I'm not sure if I'm reverting back to my old habits again but anyway, here is the next comic, downloaded before noon on the day it's supposed to be up.
By the bland artwork and little color, yes, they are back in the vortron.
No, this comic isn't all that funny, and I'm assuming people are likely still scratching their heads at the last one as well. Hopefully, that one will make a little more sense when I get past all this dad-nab foreshadowing *grumbles*. This next world should be a little funnier, and should be a little more interesting. And not so much foreshadowing in it either. It's just a world.
Back to the current comic. I was trying somethings out, so it looks a little different. I'm sorry, you will have to take part in my experimentations, I can't wait to get a little money so I can get some decent software for this.
This comic is kind of a three parter, the parts in themselves aren't all that funny or make all that much sense, but its just a quickee at the vortron and then moving on! This is more for story-telling purposes as opposed to being funny I guess.
Next comic up for Monday. I promise! No really, I mean it this time!
As for my always bland personal life, I went and saw a movie yesterday. "The Other Side of Heaven", very good movie, highly recommend to anyone. Yes, it is religious in nature, but still a darn good flick!
"You mean you do more with this oral contraption then communicate?"
--Creature (I don't know, I think that's one of my favorite quotes out of the comic so far)
